Interesting times!
With three months to go for the year for us an EB, we find ourselves in very interesting times, gathering strength and dedicating ourselves to run the last mile (as put by Vikram, VP ICX- TN).

AIESEC Chandigarh has bid for National Congress 2008 (scheduled in January 2008). We are eagerly awaiting the result from the MC

25 enthusiastic New Wrecks entered the LC as a result of the August 2007 Recruitments – still recovering from their NLDS fever (National Leadership Development Seminar 2007, Jaipur), they are surviving the General Body Meetings very well. With OCP and Team leader positions opened yesterday, we are looking forward to seeing them step up and join us ‘Invent the future’.

At the last party, new wrecks rules the first part, and the trainees the second, and the neighbour ignited a cultural sensitivity based strategy to explain ‘whats exactly happening’ by complaining a second time.

The sports day on Sunday had soccer, volleyball and badminton to offer, the trainees were beaten by the locals, and we beaten by the them in volleyball (there were no scores, merely basing this on technique). Badminton was leisurely.

This weekend majority of the trainees travelled to Amritsar to see the Golden temple and possibly the Wagah border (this usually results in some very exciting pictures, we promise to showcase here)

Coming the the LCP, Apurav is currently on his country visits. He is to visit Morocco and Egypt! (We promise to get him to write a post with pictures about his experiences)

Same goes for Prerna (VP ICX – ET), whose on a CEED to LCs in Poland.

Manveer (VP ICX – DT) is back from his IC CC experience in Istanbul, Turkey! He was a part of the HR & Agenda team.

Uday (VP OGX) also went to Turkey as a delegate for YouCan 2007! He also did LC visits to Istanbul and Izmir.

Amardeep (VP F) has been over-joyed after he proved that he has been doing his job well when he hosted MC VP F (Himank) for an MC visit to review our financial management.

It is important to mention here that Vikram is also looking forward to an international opportunity in form of DO IT (Switzerland)

As a result, we have coined the phrase – ‘YOU CAN – DO IT – @ – IC’ to inspire membership for international experiences

Technology has officially joined the list of Issue Based Projects being under-taken by our LC!
Consequently, next years’ leadership will have the opportunity to offer experiences in Education, HIV/AIDS, Childrens’ Issues, Rural development, Entrepreneurship and Technology!

The LC currently is focusing on tying the loose ends that have been analyzed in the exchange process over the year. In addition to making sure the membership is best prepared to kick-start the next year with knowledge and confidence!

As it would be evident, being the last three months of the term, every portfolio is fighting it out with their respective targets.

And we realize, its the balance in our approach that will determine the future of the LC.
