AIESEC Chandigarh holds Cultural Lunch for Trainees
AIESEC Chandigarh, the local entity of AIESEC the worlds largest student organization present over 110 countries organized a cultural event here today which involved 37 internationals from 21 countries. In order to give the trainees a opportunity to showcase their culture, as well as take a sneak peak into the various cultural backgrounds in India, this event was organized. The trainees were asked to bring authentic food from their respective countries. With everyone dressed in their national clothes and the food from all over the world the event has turned out to be a perfect blend of world cultures, which was pretty much the aim of the event.

The international were welcomed in traditional Indian fashion with a “tilak” welcome ceremony after which everyone danced to the bests of some punjabi dhol and punjabi music. While the girls indulged in getting “mehendi” onto their hands the boys were busy dancing to different music of different countries. The cultural event ended with a lunch with showcased food from all 21 countries and all participants, internationals & AIESECers together celebrated the cultural diversity that AIESEC as an organization stands for and helped build friendly relations among them.
